Who is she?
Vetting is a term White nationalists are very familiar with because they risk losing their livelihoods, friends, and family for their views. Consequently, when they want to exercise their right to freedom of association, they often make sure the people gathering have been vetted, as in their backgrounds have been checked to reduce the chance of them being a fed, journalist, or perfidious infiltrator.
This is why it was surprising to come across a /pol/ post last week claiming Eric Striker, the founding member of the National Justice Party (NJP) and a podcast host on therightstuff (TRS), is dating “antifa journalist Angela Nagle”.
Instead of engaging in a fruitless debate about how to classify her, let's hear how Striker would classify Nagle:
Based on Striker’s description, she doesn’t sound like someone I would bring to a private White nationalist gathering full of people yet to be doxed. Especially without warning the attendees of who she is.
Doxing operation?
Before you call me out for relying on an anonymous post as evidence, let me tell you what happened when I started investigating. I spoke to several individuals, some of them currently inside TRS/NJP and former associates who attended numerous events. Three individuals claimed to have met her in person at these private events, others have heard of “Angela” as being Striker’s girlfriend. One individual knew her as Striker’s fiancée. But all of them didn’t know, at least at the time, that she was an author/academic who focuses on the alt-right or that she is a “Marxist socialist” with a book published by a “communist bookstore” as Striker stated. All individuals I spoke to were under the impression that the leadership knew her and was friendly with her.
The most troubling allegations surfaced when I spoke to two individuals who believed that Nagle was instrumental in getting them doxed. It is often difficult to determine all the individuals facilitating a doxing operation and I was not able to verify with certainty if Nagle was involved in these specific cases.
Nagle has also stated in an interview that she moved to Pittsburgh, the same city as Striker, and one source claimed she attended the infamous barn meeting that NJP likes to portray as an example of trailblazing political activism. These barn meetings give TRS/NJP a chance to have their podcast fans meet their favorite podcast hosts, sell merchandise from various vendors they are friendly with or control, and create videos of speeches by TRS/NJP leaders to increase their membership base (both TRS & NJP are LLCs controlled by Mike “Enoch” Peinovich and his podcast co-host Jesse Dunstan).
I began this article by talking about the importance of vetting in White nationalism, but the niche internet micro-celebrities in the movement play by different rules. For example, while all non-e-celeb attendees must be vetted to attend these events according to their event communications, if you are a girlfriend of a TRS host, you can simply be let in and can have your phone with you while everyone else has to turn them in for OPSEC. But I am sure the professionals at TRS/NJP vetted Nagle, given her views on people like their fans:
Beefsteak Nazi
From Wikipedia:
Beefsteak Nazi (Rindersteak-Nazi) or "Roast-beef Nazi" was a term used in Nazi Germany to describe communists and socialists who joined the Nazi Party. Munich-born American historian Konrad Heiden was one of the first to document this phenomenon in his 1936 book Hitler: A Biography, remarking that in the Sturmabteilung (Brownshirts, SA) ranks there were "large numbers of Communists and Social Democrats" and that "many of the storm troops were called 'beefsteaks' – brown outside and red within". The switching of political parties was at times so common that SA men would jest that "in our storm troop there are three Nazis, but we shall soon have spewed them out".
There have always been complaints within the inner circle and fans of TRS/NJP about Striker. One consistent complaint has been that Striker is shaping the TRS/NJP ideology after his “leftist communist” roots and while writing this article, I found myself reassessing my initial surprise at learning about Nagle and Striker’s relationship. Upon comparing Nagle and Striker’s views, it was not that surprising they would get along.
One theory I heard from a TRS/NJP insider is that Striker was never really a “Nazi” and his diverse ethnic background and political view was puzzling to some members of the White nationalist groups. Some suggested that he was an infiltrator from the beginning and that he cared more about leftist ideologies than being pro-White. An examination of his work history and what happened to the various groups he was in reveals Striker as someone I would hire if I wanted my organization to crumble into disrepute. Maybe a good topic for a future article.
Not Dugin again…
A prominent criticism of Nagle’s book Kill All Normies: Online Culture Wars from 4chan and Tumblr to Trump and the Alt-Right is that she allegedly plagiarized various sections of her book. One example that caught my eye was about none other than Alexander Dugin.
From libcom.org:
The example that set us down this path, was Nagle's description of Aleksandr Dugin's politics, the 'Fourth Political Theory', more commonly known as 'Third positionism'. Third positionism is part of an obscure strain of fascism that aims to mask fascist goals by appropriating left-wing rhetoric and imagery, and has precursors all the way back to the Strasserites and National Bolsheviks in 1920s Germany. It's a very specific tactic to inculcate fascist ideas amongst groups who superficially would not appear to be receptive to them, and given the influence on Richard Spencer, might seem more relevant to a study of the alt-right than one sentence.
So, it was very strange to see Nagle describe Dugin's ideology as 'entirely new' and 'supercede'ing Marxism, liberalism and fascism:
On Radix Journal they draw on the idea of the ‘The Fourth Political Theory’, with reference to the Russian theorist Aleksandr Dugin and the French New Right’s Alain de Benoist, an entirely new political ideology that integrates and supersedes liberal democracy, Marxism and fascism.
(KAN, pp 121)
We googled this and found the Wikipedia entry for the Fourth Political Theory. Just in case Wikipedia had been updated since KAN was published, we used archive.org to verify versions prior to KAN's publication in June 2017. This is the entire entry minus footnotes:
Wikipedia: February 2017:
The Fourth Political Theory (Russian: Четвертая политическая теория, Chetvertaya Politicheskaya Teoriya) is a book by the Russian political scientist and theorist Aleksandr Dugin, published in 2009. In the book, Dugin states that he is laying the foundations for an entirely new political ideology, the fourth political theory, which integrates and supersedes the three past "theories" of liberal democracy, Marxism, and fascism.[1] The book has been cited as an inspiration for Russian policy in events such as the War in Donbass,[2] and for the contemporary European far right in general.[3]
Even without footnotes, Wikipedia is clear that this summary of Dugin's ideas is from Dugin's own description of them in his book. Nagle, rather than simply copying the entry entirely, omits this vital information and presents Dugin's summary of himself as her own, or even worse a generally accepted one. Additionally, she omits Dugin's influence on the Russian and wider European far right, except via Spencer's Radix journal, and has nothing to say about third-positionism as a strategy for promoting fascism. The copypasted version manages to be inferior even to the one-paragraph Wikipedia summary and actively misleading. Save your money and stick with the wikis.
Fortunately for Nagle, she can ask Striker about how to counter accusations of being a Duginist. For those of you who have been following my Telegram channel, you might not be surprised this article features Dugin. He isn’t a stranger to TRS/NJP.
Dugin is like Jeffrey Epstein. All these e-celebs in the movement always seem to find themselves meeting, getting pictures with, and even promoting him while denying the power of his influence when questioned about him. He will certainly be featured in future articles.
More to come
I am planning to write more articles about my findings on the numerous links between TRS/NJP and shady oligarchs, intelligence agencies and other aspects of TRS/NJP that you might not be aware of. This is just the beginning of what’s to come.
For now, subscribe to my Telegram and this Substack for updates and new articles/posts. I will make sure to update you on significant developments and do occasional deep dives.
